Description

A pair of vintage woven rattan chests of drawers, exemplifying mid-20th-century craftsmanship with a focus on texture and natural materials. Each piece features a meticulously woven rattan surface, presenting a warm and consistent patina that speaks to its age and care. The chests are framed with rattan edges, slightly rounded at the corners for a softened appearance, while the tops are finished with a tight, grid-like pattern, showcasing the artisan's skill. The chests are adorned with original brass hardware, each pull displaying a graceful patina indicative of light tarnishing, enhancing their vintage character. Brass corner caps provide both aesthetic detail and structural reinforcement, subtly contrasting with the woven rattan's organic tones. The drawers glide smoothly, hinting at well-preserved internals, and are bordered with understated rattan trim that aligns seamlessly with the overall design. Minor scuffs and slight wear are visible on the edges and corners, consistent with the pieces’ age and usage, yet these imperfections do not detract from their overall appeal. Instead, they add an authentic touch to the chests' storied past. With dimensions of 30 inches in width, 30.25 inches in height, and 18 inches in depth, these chests offer both functionality and a statement of vintage charm.
