Description

A vintage woven rattan chest of drawers featuring a compact, rectilinear form and showcasing a finely crafted wicker finish. The original rattan displays a warm, golden patina, consistent with its age, imparting a sense of authenticity and character. The weaving is tight and uniformly executed, creating a pleasing visual texture that complements the piece's simple lines. The chest is fitted with brass hardware, including handles and corner protectors, which exhibit minor tarnishing, adding to its vintage charm without compromising functionality. These brass accents contrast gently with the rattan, providing a subtle decorative element. The hardware's patina suggests careful use over the years, enhancing the overall aesthetic. Structurally sound, the chest stands at 30.25 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 18 inches deep, making it a versatile addition to various settings. Each of the three drawers operates smoothly, indicating solid construction and attention to detail. The lack of visible repairs or significant damage underscores its well-preserved condition, making it a desirable piece for collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century design.
