Description
A pair of vintage white rattan lounge chairs, reflecting a mid-20th-century design ethos. Crafted with a focus on airy elegance, these chairs feature a classic rattan construction, showcasing an open lattice backrest and rounded arms. The rattan displays significant wear, with notable paint loss and chipping throughout, giving the pieces a distressed character that suggests a history of use and outdoor enjoyment. The cushions are upholstered in a blue and white plaid fabric, which remains intact, though it exhibits age-appropriate fading. The fabric's texture appears soft, complementing the tactile quality of the rattan. Structurally, the chairs are sound, with no visible damage to the framework, yet the finish would benefit from restoration to revive its original luster. The chairs sit at a comfortable height with well-proportioned dimensions, making them suitable for a variety of seating arrangements. The overall condition requires attention, particularly to the finish, to restore the chairs to their full potential. These pieces will appeal to collectors and designers seeking authentic vintage character and form.
