Description
Exude an air of organic sophistication with this striking vintage studio pottery vase. A masterful example of mid-century craft, this tall vessel features a compelling Brutalist influence, characterized by its heavily textured, sand-like surface and a dramatic, slender neck. The glaze work is an exercise in earthy minimalism, utilizing a warm terracotta base accented by rich, horizontal bands of deep chocolate brown and charcoal. The tactile quality of the stoneware and its hand-thrown silhouette make it a soulful addition to any modern interior, bridging the gap between ancient ceramic traditions and 20th-century design. Perfectly suited for display on a low console, a fireplace mantle, or as a floor accent, this piece serves as a powerful sculptural statement even when empty. This vase measures 6 inches in diameter (round) and stands an impressive 18.5 inches tall. It is in great vintage condition, displaying minor surface scuffs and variations in the textured glaze that serve as a beautiful aged patina, adding to its unique handcrafted character. Whether you are a dedicated collector of studio ceramics or looking to anchor a room with a storied, natural element, this vessel is a timeless choice. Add this one-of-a-kind pottery piece to your collection today.
