Description

A vintage Kuba cloth pattern pillow crafted from traditional mudcloth, showcasing the intricate geometric designs characteristic of the Kuba peoples of Central Africa. The front features a dynamic maze-like pattern in deep brown against a natural beige background, highlighting the artisan's skill in creating bold, rhythmic designs. The texture of the mudcloth is evident, with a slightly coarse weave that adds depth and authenticity to the piece. The pillow's back is composed of a solid black fabric, providing a striking contrast to the patterned front. The black fabric appears well-maintained, with no visible signs of wear or discoloration, ensuring a clean presentation. The textile's overall condition is very good, with minor wear that is consistent with its vintage nature, yet the pattern remains vibrant and intact. Measuring 21 inches wide by 20 inches high and 4 inches deep, this pillow offers substantial presence while maintaining comfort and visual interest. Its well-preserved state makes it an excellent candidate for display, offering a touch of African artistry to any collection.
