Description

This exquisite pair of mid-century Murano glass lamps represents the height of Italian artisanal lighting, heavily influenced by the master blowers at Barovier & Toso. Each lamp features a whimsical figurative character kneeling beside a spiral-twisted column, meticulously hand-blown with exceptional detail. The torsos and central pillars are infused with shimmering gold aventurine flecks, while the legs are crafted from a rich, translucent amethyst-purple glass. Delicate clear glass ruffles and hand-applied accents showcase the unparalleled skill of Venetian craftsmen, making these lamps a theatrical and luxurious addition to any Hollywood Regency or eclectic interior. Perfectly proportioned for an elegant vanity, desk, or bedside table, each lamp measures 6.5” in diameter at the base and stands 17.25” tall to the socket. They are in great vintage condition, displaying minor surface scuffs and an attractive aged patina on the brass sockets consistent with their 1950s heritage. The hand-blown figures remain vibrant and free of significant chips, reflecting their high quality and careful previous ownership. These rare, sculptural luminaries are a true collector's find and will instantly elevate your personal space with mid-century Italian glamour. Add this masterful pair of art glass lamps to your collection today.
