Description

A vintage handcrafted studio bowl, this ceramic piece showcases a vibrant green glaze, enveloping its exterior with a glossy finish that speaks to its artisanal origin. The bowl's compact form, measuring 4 inches in width and depth, and 2 inches in height, presents a smooth, subtly tapering silhouette that draws the eye inward. The glaze reveals a rich, consistent color that transitions from a lighter green at the base to deeper hues towards the rim, lending a sense of depth and movement to the piece. The interior of the bowl contrasts beautifully with its exterior, featuring a darker glaze with a striking, almost teal-green band that circles the inside, adding a layer of visual intrigue. This carefully executed glazing technique enhances the bowl's aesthetic, highlighting the potter's skill. Minor surface imperfections are visible, typical of its age and handcrafted nature, yet they do not detract from the overall integrity or appeal of the piece. Structurally sound, with no chips or cracks, this bowl remains in very good condition, ready to be a charming addition to any collection or display. Its tactile qualities and rich glaze make it a delightful example of vintage studio pottery.
