Description

A vintage carved wood side table featuring intricately detailed elephant motifs and bone inlay. This piece, likely mid-20th century, showcases a circular top adorned with a decorative inlay pattern, exhibiting skilled craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. The dark wood possesses a rich, aged patina, with the grain subtly visible beneath the original finish, suggesting a history of careful preservation. The table's legs are skillfully carved into elephant heads, complete with elongated trunks and well-defined ears. The bone tusks are intact, adding a striking contrast to the deep hue of the wood. The elephants' expressive eyes and textured skin highlight the carver's expertise. A subtle decorative band encircles the tabletop edge, further enhancing the piece's visual appeal. Minor surface scuffs and slight wear on the legs are observed, consistent with age and use, yet these do not detract from the table's sturdy structure or aesthetic presence. The overall condition is very good, with no repairs or structural issues noted. This table serves as a testament to fine craftsmanship, embodying both functional design and artistic expression.
