Description

Introduce a soft, sculptural touch to your interior with this distinctive vintage studio pottery tray. Hand-built using the slab technique, this ceramic piece exemplifies the playful yet architectural spirit of 1980s Postmodernism. The design features a gently curved, square form with wide, organic rims finished in a pale blush pink, framing a central recessed field of matte lavender-purple. A unique raised ridge spans the center, adding geometric interest and a sense of "folded" structure to the clay. Its pastel palette and free-form silhouette make it a captivating accent for a Memphis-style living room, a soft Boho Chic vanity, or a contemporary coffee table. Generously scaled for decorative use, this platter measures 12.5 inches wide, 12.25 inches deep, and 2 inches tall. It serves beautifully as an artistic catchall for jewelry and keys, or simply as a standalone objet d'art that celebrates the artist's hand. The piece is in great vintage condition, free of chips or cracks. The surface retains the matte finish and slight irregularities inherent to hand-modeled pottery, contributing to its authentic, one-of-a-kind patina. Add this lovely expression of ceramic art to your collection for a sophisticated pop of pastel color.
