Description

This charming pair of vintage ceramic vegetable sculptures offers a delightful twist on functional art. Reflecting the organic forms and artisanal craftsmanship popular in the mid-century period, these heavily glazed pieces function perfectly as small bud vases or whimsical decorative objects. The set features two contrasting forms: a tall, slender gourd finished in a variegated green and harvest yellow crackle glaze, and a rotund eggplant showcasing a glossy, dramatic deep indigo glaze contrasted with a matte green cap. These sculptural vessels add texture, color, and playful sophistication to shelving, desktops, or kitchen decor. The set offers pleasing dimensional variety. The slender gourd measures 2.5 inches round by 7.25 inches tall, while the eggplant is 4.75 inches wide, 3.75 inches deep, and 5.75 inches tall. Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition, exhibiting minor age-appropriate wear that contributes to their unique, hand-crafted patina. Invite these unique, organic statement pieces into your collection and celebrate the enduring charm of vintage studio ceramics.
