Description

A vintage abstract studio pottery vase, crafted from ceramic, presents a striking form with its cylindrical body and flared base. The vase stands at 11 inches in height, exhibiting an intriguing design characterized by irregular circular perforations that punctuate its surface. These cutouts, varying in size, lend a sense of depth and dynamism, enhancing the tactile quality of the piece. The surface of the vase reveals a natural patina, indicative of its age, with a subtle, earthy glaze that highlights the texture of the ceramic. Minor chips and surface irregularities are visible, yet they integrate seamlessly into the overall aesthetic, adding character without compromising the structural integrity. The palette is understated, allowing the form and texture to take precedence, with soft variations in tone that suggest careful handcrafting. This piece embodies the essence of studio pottery, where individual expression and the hand of the maker are evident. It remains structurally sound, retaining its original shape and artistic intention. Perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of mid-century and abstract ceramics, it offers a unique blend of artistry and functional design.
