Primitive Boho Hand-Carved Wood Bust

Description

This raw, expressive bust is a powerful example of outsider or folk-inspired sculpture. Hand-carved from a single piece of weathered wood, the figure features exaggerated facial features—most notably a long, prominent nose and deeply carved, closed-set eyes—giving the piece a stoic, almost mythic presence. The texture of the aged wood, complete with natural cracking, grain, and chisel marks, enhances the organic, timeworn quality of the sculpture. Its stylized, almost abstract form straddles the line between Brutalist and Primitive art, making it an arresting focal point in a modern, rustic, or eclectic interior. Whether you see a wise elder, an ancient totem, or a surreal figure from a dream, the face invites curiosity and interpretation.
