Vintage Donghia Furniture

Donghia grew from the creative practice of American interior designer Angelo Donghia (1935–1985), whose sophisticated contemporary rooms paired generous furniture with carefully chosen fabrics and finishes. His work expanded into textiles, furniture and trade showrooms, creating a distinctive approach to comfortable, modern interiors.

John Hutton joined Angelo Donghia in 1978 to help establish the furniture division and became design director after Angelo's death in 1985. His attention to proportion and comfort helped shape the company's transitional furniture. Vintage Donghia pieces bring this sensibility to upholstered seating and textural woven rattan designs.
